Increasing online visibility is the goal of most online business owners. There are many strategies for building visibility online including article marketing, blogging, email newsletters/ezine, expert question sites, press releases, social networking and videos.
Tomorrow I will interview viral video expert Lou Bortone and fellow Master Business Building Club expert on my BlogTalkRadio show who will discuss how he has increased both his web traffic and client base since he began using video as an online marketing tool.
Lou Bortone is a long-time marketing and branding consultant who helps entrepreneurs build breakthrough brands on the Internet, with services such as online video production, video branding, coaching and creative support. Lou is a former television executive who worked for E! Entertainment Television and later served as the Senior Vice President of Marketing & Advertising for Fox Family Worldwide, a division of Fox in Los Angeles. Lou is an author and ghostwriter of six business books, a Certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach and a Book Yourself Solid Certified Coach.
We will discuss why now is the best time to jump on the online video bandwagon and what the benefits of having a strong web video presence are. Did you know that since the dawn of YouTube, marketing with video has become the best way to connect with customers and drive sales? In fact, studies show that video is 600% more effective than text alone in delivering your message. 600%! Do you need to know some quick, easy and free ways to distribute your video? Lou will cover thoroughly cover that topic. He will also offer tips for optimizing your videos and how to make your videos more interactive and viral.
This will be a very interesting and informative interview, so be sure to mark your calendar!

As a BlogTalkRadio host I was very excited to see this email show up this morning and just had to share. If you don’t already have your own show, this might give you the impetus to start one and begin sharing your expertise with others. If you already host a show or decide to launch a new one we would love to have you come back here and post a link.

We are excited to roll out some cool new features which will help our tens of thousands radio hosts with syndicating their radio shows into their primary social networks.
In our view, our job has many elements. First, we enable any individual, company or organization to host a live on-line radio show. We host close to 1,000 live broadcasts every day. There is no cost to host or listen to shows on BlogTalkRadio, however, we do offer premium services for a more robust hosting experience. Second, shortly after the show is completed, we automatically create podcasts which are hosted and stored on our site, can be easily downloaded into iTunes, RSS, etc. Lastly, we provide a series of syndication tools so that the content produced on the network can be easily syndicated on-line.
Our platform sits side by side with Facebook, Twitter, Ning, MySpace and the many other social communities out there.
Effective today, our hosts can now elect to have their radio shows automatically notify and update their Facebook and Twitter communities. You can watch screencast tutorials here in our Learning Center to learn how to use these features.
For Facebook, our hosts will be able to easily create events, update their status to let their friends know they are broadcasting live and finally, after the show is over, the archived show will be embedded directly into their status update.
For Twitter, tweets will be automatically be sent from your Twitter profile, when the show is live and then again when the archived show is available for consumption.
We are excited about these enhancements and look forward to your comments, feedback and suggestions. Please write us at service@blogtalkradio.com.
Best,
Alan Levy Founder and CEO, BlogTalkRadio
Here’s an interesting report that I read on BtoB this morning.
Cambridge, Mass. – Spending on e-mail marketing in the U.S. will grow steadily to $2 billion by 2014, almost an 11% compound annual growth rate, according to a new forecast by Forrester Research.
Fueling the continuing reliance on e-mail as a direct marketing outreach are falling CPMs and high ROI, according to the Forrester report, “U.S. E-mail Marketing Forecast 2009 to 2014.”
Further, the report noted, the use of e-mail in social networks will be one of the biggest challenges for direct marketers, which face the need to bridge the gap between social and traditional inboxes with social sharing tools.
Do you have your email marketing up and running? We work in all the major systems for our clients and really like Aweber, Constant Contact and Vertical Response. You can also create some beautiful newsletters and broadcasts in 1shoppingcart if you are familiar with html. Unfortunately they don’t offer pre-designed templates at this time.
