This week I interview Marsh Engle. Internationally known for her innovative and inspiring approach to career, entrepreneurship and life, Marsh Engle is a leading supporter of higher creativity.  Following a career as an award-winning entrepreneur for over 25 years, Marsh has dedicated her lifework to inspiring people – especially women – to create entrepreneurial success, spiritual connection, and creative innovation.

As a transformational journalist and author of the acclaimed Amazing Woman Amazing Worldbook series, Marsh has interviewed hundreds of women including California First Lady Maria Shriver. Following 911 she traveled into the firehouses of New York City to study the life stories of the fewer than 26 women who serve among the 12,000 firefighters of FDNY. Her acclaimed book Amazing Woman Amazing Firefighters shares insights learned during her year-long investigation.

A distinctive authority in the field of transformation, creativity and entrepreneurship, Marsh has shared the stage with names that include inspirational leader Marianne Williamson; Bisou Bisou Fashion icon, Michelle Bohbot; and Television and Film Star Rolonda Watts. Jay Speyerer has been a speaker, a writer, and an educator for more than 30 years, successfully helping people achieve their goals in memoir writing, e-mail issues, cross-cultural communication, and presentation skills.

For fact fans, Jay was on the faculty of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, teaching photography, communication, and non-linear scriptwriting, among other subjects. After 25 years, he decided to leave education and run his company, Legacy Road Communications, full time. As a speaker and un-trainer, he still gets to stand at the front of the room and tell people what to do. He’s just taken his act on the road.

Jay is also finding himself in demand as a speech doctor, adding humor and clarity to presentations in the unique style of the individual presenter. He’s accustomed to putting words in people’s mouths from years of writing fiction and screenplays, so this talent comes naturally.

Jay is a member of the National Speakers Association (President-Elect of the Pittsburgh chapter), the National Society of Newspaper Columnists, and the Western Pennsylvania Genealogical Society. He is the author of two books, Cat Got Your Thumb? and The Stories of Our Days, and he created The Story System: The Guide to the Methodical Memoir.
