Twitter Search Function Doesn’t Work – But TwitDir Does!

I’ve noticed lately that the search function on Twitter is not working at all.  And when it did work, it wasn’t all that intuitive or helpful.  Oftentimes even though I knew a persons name and nicknames I still couldn’t get profile information.  Lately it is so bad that even when I type in the correct url for a person that I would like to add, it returns this message:

This feature is temporarily disabled.

Thanks for your patience while we work to restore it.

That sent me on a hunt and I came across a website called TwitDir that is actually a Twitter Directory that does work and works exceptionally well.  Oddly enough, this is not run by Twitter.  With this directory, not only can you find people by their name, but you can also search by username, websites, location, or what other information you would like to try.

On another note, I posed a blog about earlier this evening on my Virtual Assistance Industry blog about a wonderful 4 week course that I found that teaches you how to quickly create professional web videso for yourself and for your clients.  I don’t want to copy the post here, but you can read it on the VA blog.
