Your Partner In Success Radio Show
Jay Speyerer has been a speaker, a writer, and an educator for more than 30 years, successfully helping people achieve their goals in memoir writing, e-mail issues, cross-cultural communication, and presentation skills.
For fact fans, Jay was on the faculty of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, teaching photography, communication, and non-linear scriptwriting, among other subjects. After 25 years, he decided to leave education and run his company, Legacy Road Communications, full time. As a speaker and un-trainer, he still gets to stand at the front of the room and tell people what to do. He’s just taken his act on the road.
Jay is also finding himself in demand as a speech doctor, adding humor and clarity to presentations in the unique style of the individual presenter. He’s accustomed to putting words in people’s mouths from years of writing fiction and screenplays, so this talent comes naturally.
Jay is a member of the National Speakers Association (President-Elect of the Pittsburgh chapter), the National Society of Newspaper Columnists, and the Western Pennsylvania Genealogical Society. He is the author of two books, Cat Got Your Thumb? and The Stories of Our Days, and he created The Story System: The Guide to the Methodical Memoir.
We will be covering the following topics:
What are some of the techniques that can help online business people and bloggers write their true story using techniques of fiction writing?
Can just anyone tell their story?
What’s the secret to writing a good story? Is there a formula
Do people make it more difficult than it needs to be?
What if as a Virtual Assistant or copywriter you want to tell someone else’s story? Do these same techniques apply?
Body language plays a large part in communication. We will chat about the ways that this occurs.
